"Person Perception and its Role in German-Indian Business Collaborations"

This event is part of the seventh International Partnership Week at the DHBW Ravensburg. The International Partnership Week will take place from 15 to 18 May 2017 in Ravensburg and is organized by the Department of International Business in cooperation with the International Office.

Culture influences perception, perception influences behavior and behavior affects the success of a business collaboration. This event focuses on person perception, with regard to Germany and India. Differences in person perception are a key risk factor when conducting business in or with India and can lead to conflicts and misunderstandings for the individuals involved. Running a successful Indian - German co-operation requires managers who possess a high degree of awareness about each other`s person perception. Managers who posses this awareness can anticipate reactions better and avoid such conflicts and misunderstandings, thus maximizing business performance.
